countdown...

in exactly 19 days...I WILL BE RUNNING MY FIRST HALF MARATHON.
{insert surprise aka WTF face}

there it is...

i've been physically training for it, but now i'm mentally preparing myself as well. yes, i give myself a pep talk everyday. raise your hand if you're the odd girl in the corner talking to herself? {waving hands in the air}

i never ever ever ever...did i say ever? thought i'd be running a half marathon. its still bananas to me, but i'm thrilled for being consistent and being able to cross this goal off my to-do list. oh yeah!

along with never thinking i'd actually ever enjoy running...i never thought i'd enjoy waking up a 5 am to go to the gym. yes, i dragged my booty out of bed and met my bestie at the gym to take a class. the only reason i actually had motivation this morning to go is because i slept in my workout clothes, so i could have a few extra minutes to snooze. don't judge me. my friends make fun of me for doing this. whateva! lol.

i'm soooo looking forward to the weekend after my race because i will be going to savannah, ga for a bachelorette weekend get-away! i've never been to savannah and there’s a bunch of ladies going, so i'm expecting to have a whoooole lotta fun!

today’s inspiration:
Step into your greatness, your vision and your Highest Potential. The momentary discomfort is worth the long term reward.

Wow, girl. I am proud of you. I could never...yep I said never. I guess if I was tortured, threathened to be put to death...well, I guess I could try. But, you see where I am going with this???!!! YOU ROCK. And I think sleeping in your work out clothes is GENIUS! Oh, and yes. I always talk to myself. Really annoys "the hubs" so I do it more often if he notices. Ha! Keeps me {somewhat} sane. ;-) And I wanna go to Savannah!!!! Never been either but it sounds so charmin' and delightful!!!! Enjoy...you deserve an all-out weekend.

19 days!!! Woo hoooo!!!! Can't wait :)

I definitely don't think it's weird that you slept in your workout clothes! I've done that before! I really don't enjoy the gym so I've done that to make myself not change my mind about going in the early morning hours! LOL!

You are braver than I with the 1/2 marathon. I'm sure you'll do great.

Savannah is so beautiful. Stayed a couple of days there and really enjoyed every moment there. I'm sure you will too!

i think sleeping in your workout clothes is the most brilliant idea ever! i should have done that when i use to go at 5 in the morning!

i promise you it will be the best experience of your life! i've 2 days past mine and i want to do it all over again!

and trust me, there will be tons of people on the sidelines cheering you on which (very oddly) helps a LOT!

you can do it - and you will feel like you can conquer the world for days after. I'm SO, So, SO excited for you! Wish I was there so I could run with! :)

I am SO proud of you!!!! I can't wait until I can say that I've signed up for my first half marathon :) You are going to do amazing! Your dedication to running is so inspiring :) I do one early work out a week and it is SO hard to get up at 4:40 to make it to the 5:15 class. But I love having one day where I can leave work and go straight home or meet friends instead of my usual evening date with the gym. I've never thought about sleeping in my work out clothes though...that's so smart! haha
