Hello dolls! I'm soooooo excited to have one of my favorite bloggers, Courtney, taking over my blog today! She is so cute and one of the sweetest people I know! I absolutely love reading all about her love life. Oh lala ;) Her blog is one of my favorite reads so please hop over and check it out! Without further ado, Courtney . . .
Hi there! I'm so excited to be taking over for Ashley's blog; while she's moving! Let's be honest, I'd much rather be blogging than moving.... or am I the only one who hates moving? Haha :) So the plan was to share some dating tips, but after reading; my story I'm thinking you won't want to take any advice from me. I'm going to share the first date that lead to the rest of my life, and you'll see that I did it all wrong... Boy texts girl and asks her on a date. Girl can't think of a good reason to say no, so she texts back telling him she has time for dinner but MUST be home before it's dark so that she can go running. Boy gets lost on his way to pick girl up, and girl calls him and teases him about it. Boy is a little flustered and embarrassed. Boy asks girl if she wants Cafe Rio for dinner. Girl says no. Boy gets more flustered. Boy asks girl what she'd like to do. Girl tells him he better figure this out since he's the one that wanted to go out. Boy asks girl if she'd like to go eat at Olive Garden. Girl says no. Flustered boy runs a red light. Girl tells him that she is scared for her life because his driving sucks. Boy exclaims that he's too busy focusing on her.... and freaks girl out. Boy asks if she'd like to get chinese take out and go eat at a park. Girls says yes. Boy is relieved. Once boy and girl have food in their bellies, they end up talking for hours past dark. 10 months later.... girl who never wanted to go out with boy in the first place, and boy who thought girl was the biggest snob on earth, were married and will spend eternity with each other. The dating advice I would've shared goes something like this: If you're going to lie, don't get caught. I was definitely not planning on running after dinner, that was just my "out" to end the lame date. Talking hours past dark kinda blew my cover. He knew exactly what kind of excuse that was :) Don't under mind your date. Let him feel like a man, he needs that confidence for a first date. Teasing him for getting lost, and telling him his driving sucks was not the smartest thing I've ever done. If you're date chooses a delicious restaurant for dinner, there is no need to turn him down Honestly, who says no to Cafe Rio?? What a pain I was! Save the attitude and sass that we (ladies) all have for later dates. I have nothing to say about this except.. I failed again. See what I mean? I did it all wrong. Luckily, it all worked out for me in the end :) Eric and I have been married for over 3 years, and can't wait to see what our future holds! We love making new friends :)If you'd like to read more about us, come visit the http://barbieandkenbrinkerhoff.blogspot.com/">blog anytime. Thank you sooooooo much, Courtney!
